Compelled by the exigency of my situation, I found a copy of Persepolis at the Harvard Bookstore, parked myself in a corner couch, and read the second half of the book while legitimate patrons and store staff drifted around me. Petty, gracelessly cheap, and, worst of all, I felt as if I had violated the sacredness of text and authorship. On the other hand, the paperback costs $25, so my conscience isn't terribly tortured.

persepolis! I read that too, and must say I really enjoyed it! Although the second part not nearly as much as the first. They made it into a movie last year; it's in French, I had to watch it with Spanish subtitles haha (they had a screening of it when I was abroad). Of course the original is much better, but you might try the movie! :)

Hi Aya~
I totally agree, Persepolis 1 was better by far, though I think the movie redeemed the second part by shortening it. I wish I were as cosmopolitan as you ._. but I just watched it with the English subtitle. Whoever does little Marji's voice, I want a doll with her saying "Hello, I'm Marji and I'm the new prophet."
haha yess and then maybe you can find another doll that says "psy..psy.." and does the psyduck head bobbing. mwehehehe.
would that be an AYA DOLL?! :DDD
